2013 Acura TSX
In a previous blog, we discussed car ratings that matter and outlined some of the key differences in how cars on reviewed on various websites. Each website takes a different approach in how they evaluate and write about vehicles, and when you’re looking for a car – it can get confusing as to who you should be listening to. This is especially prevalent with the 2013 Acura TSX. Though many car review websites pointed out some flaws with this compact luxury sedan, their insights of the 2013 Acura TSX were overwhelmingly positive. On the contrary, however, our consumers reported a different story. Keep in mind, our test panels are made up of individuals who currently own a similar vehicle. Our testers, on the other hand, have a good understanding of expectations associated with this type of automobile.

Our testers gave this compact luxury sedan 3.4 out of 5. Unfortunately, this rating tied the 2013 Acura TSX in last place with the Lexus IS250 within the compact luxury sedan segment. With a MSRP of $30,510, this compact luxury sedan comes in at the low end of the price range within this segment; however, its overall satisfaction makes it questionable if this price tag is worth it.

A few noteworthy dislikes our testers reported about the 2013 Acura TSX:

  • The interior of this compact luxury sedan did not measure up to other vehicles within this segment, with our testers reporting the features as being “too basic” and “plain.”
  • The loud engine sound during acceleration was unfavorable.
  • The break system was less smooth than comparable compact luxury sedans.
  • The highway speed handling was described as having a “spongy feel” and “too bouncy.”
  • Vibration was felt more in the 2013 Acura TSX than in other automobiles.

“The TSX is aesthetically very appealing inside and out–particularly in wagon form–though it does have its low points,” Car Connection continues.
