Rated 4.2 out of 5 by our testers, the BMW 535i came in second overall automobile in the prestige luxury sedan segment. Some of the standard features included in this sedan are keyless-go feature, 2-zone automatic climate control for driver and front passenger, 2-way power moonroof, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and heated and folding mirrors. All graded categories received an Average or higher rating from our testers, with the exterior and interior appearance of the BMW 535i receiving Best in Segment.

Lincoln MKZ

Launching with a new look for 2013, the Lincoln MKZ was rated 3.7 out of 5 by our consumer reviewers. The new design features a new split-wing grille, a retractable panoramic roof, and improved craftsmanship throughout the vehicle. In a recent blog about the 2013 Lincoln MKZ we outlined some of the pros and cons of this compact luxury sedan. While the BMW 535i is a great option for those looking for high-quality appearance features, the 2013 Lincoln MKZ is was rated more favorably by our testers for its comfort and interior environment. Three categories received Best in Segment by our consumer reviewers: front seat comfort, rear seat environment and trunk area. The only areas to receive Below Average ratings from our testers were exterior appearance and highway speed handling. Overall, the 2013 Lincoln MKZ was ranked fifth in the compact luxury sedan segment.

Infiniti M37

If you’re looking for a car with an array of technological extras and beautiful interior, the Infiniti M37 may be the car for you. In fact, this sedan ranked Best in Segment for interior appearance, with testers reporting it to having a “sleek, classy, sporty and functional” interior space. The gauges are easy to read, seats are made from quality material, and the instrument panel is laid out nicely and made of high-quality wood and metal finishes, according to our testers. Standard technology features include a 6-speaker audio system, active noise control, USB connection port for iPod® interface and other compatible devices, SiriusXM Satellite radio, 7-inch color vehicle information display and more. One downfall our testers found within the technology was the lack of an AUX input. Overall, the Infiniti M37 was tied for third best option within the prestige luxury sedan segment with the Jaguar XF.

Jaguar XF

car shoppingWith a rating of 3.8 out of 5 given by our testers, the Jaguar XF tied with the Infiniti M37 for third best prestige luxury sedan. Unfavorable features in this automobile, according to our testers, are its rear seat comfort, visibility and trunk area. However, the exterior and interior appearances were rated Above Average by our consumer reviewers. Found in the prestige luxury sedan segment, the Jaguar XF comes in six model options including an all-wheel drive or supercharged option. This sedan is designed to offer drivers a luxurious experience with some great features. Notable standard features include, but aren’t limited to: driver’s seat memory function with two settings, 3-stage heated front seats, rain-sensing wipers, and a 7-inch touch-screen display with controls for audio, climate control and Bluetooth® telephone connectivity.
